Odela Railway Station 2025 Movie Review
After completing his IPS training, Anudeep (Sai Ronak) is assigned to the peaceful village of Odela for his police training. Known for its crime-free record, Odela is shaken by a sudden series of rapes and murders targeting newlywed women right after their first night. This wave of crimes sparks fear in the village and poses a major challenge for the police. Who is behind these brutal acts? Why are married women being targeted? Will the police apprehend the psychopath? These questions drive the rest of the story.
Set in a rural heartland, the film captures an authentic rustic atmosphere. Sai Ronak, Hebah Patel, and Vashista M Simha deliver decent performances within their limited roles, while supporting actors are adequate in their brief appearances.
The film’s short runtime is a key strength, keeping the narrative tight. A few gruesome scenes enhance the raw, rural vibe, and the opening song, which explains the village’s name, is a highlight.
Billed as a crime thriller inspired by real events, the film bears similarities to a well-known hit in the same genre. However, a major clue about the killer revealed within the first 20 minutes makes the plot predictable, undermining the suspense.
