Subham 2025 Movie Review

Set in the coastal town of Bheemili in the early 2000s, Subham centers on three friends—Srinivas (Harshith Reddy), a cable TV operator, and his buddies (Gavireddy Srinivas and Charan Peri)—who aspire to be “alpha male” husbands. After Srinivas marries Srivalli (Shriya Kontham), a smart MBA graduate, their lives take a bizarre turn when their wives, obsessed with the TV serial Janma Janmala Bandham, begin acting strangely every night at 9 PM, possessed by a mysterious force.

The phenomenon spreads to other women in the village, leading the trio to uncover a supernatural connection tied to the serial and find a creative solution by crafting their own ending to the show. The story uses this setup to deliver a message about gender equity and respect for women’s autonomy.

Harshith Reddy shines as Srinivas, bringing charm, comedic timing, and emotional depth to his role as a confused yet well-meaning husband. His expressive performance stands out, particularly in scenes balancing humor and vulnerability. Gavireddy Srinivas and Charan Peri complement him well, delivering natural chemistry and solid laughs as the supportive friends.

Shriya Kontham, Shravani Lakshmi, and Shalini Kondepudi impress as the wives, transitioning seamlessly from naive to intense in their possessed states. Samantha’s cameo, while brief, is effective and playful, though some reviews note it feels slightly distracting or underutilized. Supporting actors like Vamshidhar Goud and Gangavva add quirky charm, with Gangavva’s opening scene setting a humorous tone.
